How Your Poo Can Scupper Your Health (not what you think!)

Think Fitness industry, think a weight loss industry? Are we correct?

I’m going to be truly honest here: I made a decision some time ago (after making LOTS of mistakes) to create a facility that did it’s best to educate people about what they really need.

**Not a facility that promised to shift weight. We did that. It worked for a few weeks. People couldn’t sustain it. We were actually feeding the weight loss monster**

I looked around and saw before and after photos, six week weight loss programs, low calorie shakes, pills, potions – a multi-billion pound industry …. that I HATED!!!

In my humble opinion, we are all experts in weight loss FOR A SHORT TIME. Anyone can get so fed up that they start exercising, eating better food, fewer calories, weighing themselves every morning – until they realise it’s boring and give up.

We steer people away from attaching success to how much you weight on a scale – “weight loss”.

The issue with weight loss is: you don’t know what the hell you’re weighing. It could be fat, it could be muscle, it could be urine, it could be poo, a person has no idea.

Think about this: you’re training consistently, feeling good, eating well, sleeping well, clothes feel great, you have energy, feeling attractive – and you step on a scale and your weight hasn’t moved ….. (because of some digested/undigested food in your gut).

Now you’re demotivated, thinking nothing works, you’re useless, you’ve failed … and give up! Or even worse, seek some drastic, dangerous, low calorie, pill-popping, juice once a day nonsense in an attempt to be lighter.

I’m addressing this today because I think it affects a lot of people. I chatted with someone yesterday who wanted to “lose 5kg”.

Without judgement, we explored this, I asked questions and it turned out, the weight wasn’t really important. They wanted to improve how they “felt in their clothes”. (That’s body shape, that’s fat loss).

>> We hear this a lot with people, talking about weight but just wanting to feel better! <<

The distinction between weight loss and fat loss in important and we should all take notice of it!

People spend masses of energy, thought and effort weighing themselves, not knowing what they’re weighing and getting p***** off about it. It throws their health into disarray

A clearer, happier, more measurable, more obvious. more positive piece of data is: how your clothes feel on your body.

I’m 100% sure, if you’re clothes feel good on your body:

– You’re exercising regularly (probably lifting weights)
– Eating better, not perfectly
– In a more positive mindset
– Having more energy
– With a spring in your step
– Feeling in control of life

Hopefully, you can see there is no comparison between the two experiences – weight loss V fat loss.

For your enjoyment and sanity, don’t let a poo destroy your health!

Hope this helps,

Kevin.
